Student Motivation
Students must achieve certain levels of skills and behavior to be able to participate in higher levels of hands-on experiences that they have chosen. Students are motivated by being given more options as they complete lower level skills.
I don’t think my child will be able to sit at a computer, they already have a hard time focusing in school. How will this system help them? From our experience, kids who have trouble listening to lecture-based teaching and focusing on completing the same classroom assignments as their peers often do better on an individual task and pay better attention to multi-media. We also think that children need to move to learn and should have opportunities to work on content in a dance-mat and/or Wii type format.
